There are some classic books every kid should read. Books like Anne Frank’s Diary or The Giver. But whether you blame it on YouTube or Xbox or the darn weather, the truth is some kids won’t go anywhere near a book that starts with the dreaded ‘c’ word.

Lucky, we have graphic novels to counter that. And even the experts think so, as the lines of classic books getting graphic novel makeovers grow. These books may be heavy on the pictures, but research shows there’s no place for literary snobbery when it comes to graphic novels.
