Maggie O’Farrell wins 2020 Women’s Prize for Fiction

British author Maggie O’Farrell has won the 2020 Women’s Prize for Fiction for her book about the death of Shakespeare’s son, Hamnet.

The book tells the story of William Shakespeare’s 11-year-old son, Hamnet, who died during the plague that ravaged England in the 16th century. (And yes, Shakespeare did name that play for his son.)
