I Think the Cover Was Red began in 2019 as part of a uni project when journo Nikki Tandy decided to switch careers after more than 20 years in the media. She started a library course at Victoria University. One of the assignments was to create a website or blog. Of course, Nikki chose books. And she decided to make it something more than just a uni task. Then she roped in her book-loving kid to help. We love books and words in all their forms. We look forward to helping you find your next good read.

Nikki has been a journalist and editor for more than 20 years at places including the Herald Sun, The Melbourne Times and Babyology, and a book worm her entire life. Like most ex-journos, she’s writing a book. She blitzed her library studies course in Nov 2019 and now runs the library at Glenroy College in Melbourne’s north.
